The Cassin's Vireo is a casual visitor to campus: migrants were seen 19 Apr 2003, 07 Oct 2007, and 23 Sep 2014. It is an uncommon migrant throughout and an uncommon breeding resident in the mountains of southern California.

The Cassin's Vireo can be identified its gray head with white 'spectacles', grayish-olive upperparts with two white wing bars, and white underparts with yellowish sides.
