This program is designed to allow up to four students into the Biol-2-Med program who will have a position reserved for them in the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program at Western University of Health Sciences for the year following the completion of the B.S. degree in Biology. Biology majors are eligible to apply to this program once they have successfully completed the Biology 200 series (Biology 200, 201, and 202). Once accepted into the Biol-2-Med program, students must: 1) maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.3 in the required courses for the major, 2) must take the Medical college admission test (MCAT) and obtain a minimum score of 24, 3) must satisfy the requirements for the B.S. in Biology, and 4) must satisfy all requirements for admission to Western University's D.O. program.
