AMSA is the largest pre-medical organization in the country. Our aim is to provide a community of support for students interested in the medical field. AMSA is a great way to gain community service experience, clinical experience, leadership skills, and effective networking with other students to get help with the MCAT and exchange study materials. Officially known as Lambda Sigma, the Biology Club was founded in 1967 at California State University, San Bernardino. It is dedicated to promoting everything in biology. The club is designed for students with a wide variety of interests in the vast field of biology, from ecology and evolutionary biology, to genetics and microbiology. Our mission is to help and better prepare students in achieving their goal of becoming knowledgeable, determined, and professional leaders in the field of biology by providing mentoring, opportunities for employment, internships, and volunteering in the community throughout your educational career at CSUSB. In recent years, the Biology Club has co-sponsored the Science Networking and Recruitment Forum, the first of its kind in the CSU system where employers come to CSUSB seeking potential employees/interns who are want a career in the sciences, namely Biology, Chemistry, Medicine, and other highly contested and sought after careers. The purpose of the Pre-Dental Club at California State University, San Bernardino is to provide an environment where undergraduate students can interact with graduate students, faculty members, and experts in the field of dentistry on a professional and social basis for further enhancement in the dental avocation. Our organization seeks to accomplish this goal by: being a support group; providing a network system of unlimited resources, hosting guest speakers that will supply information pertinent to the field of dentistry; organization and participation of communal events and outreach projects and holding workshops to assist pre-dental students with the application process and the DAT. SSSCR is a new club that began in Spring 2010. The clubs general interest are stem cells and to provide current information on stem cell research. Last spring the club toured UCR's new Stem Cell Core Facility and hosted a stem cell seminar series from local researchers.
